Job description

RecruitFit are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their client’s team based in Central Leeds. This is a permanent full-time role and can be worked on a hybrid type model after induction.

As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the processing of end-to-end payroll covering PAYE candidates, Limited Companies and Umbrella solutions.

Main duties

  • Full end to end Payroll process on a daily basis (covering weekly and monthly payroll frequencies)

  • Maintaining accurate files and records for candidates and clients

  • Managing 2 existing Payroll team members

  • Daily RTI submissions and filing end of year processing to HMRC

  • Managing the process with Quarterly intermediary reports to HMRC

  • Managing Statutory payments such as Maternity pay, Sick pay

  • Liaising with directors, managers and team members with payroll enquiries and reporting

  • Working to streamline processes and suggest improvements to better the efficiency of the department

Criteria

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A solid Payroll background (preferably recruitment agency payroll background)

  • The skills to be able to plan & prioritise in order to meet tight deadlines.

  • The skills to hands the calculations and process of running weekly and monthly payrolls frequencies

  • Ability to work well within a team and under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Skills to prioritise demanding workloads

  • Previous experience in a senior payroll role

Knowledge of Merit and SAGE is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
